Virginia Digital Photo Safaris

We have arranged for the Va Wildlife Conservatory to set out some of their hawks and owls at their location in Annandale, Va. It is a wonderful opportunity to get up very close to these birds of prey and to photograph them in a natural setting. Even though these birds are on a tether, it is easy to photograph them without getting the tether in your image.

We will arrange for a meeting place and carpools to Annandale. As the time for the safari gets closer, we will send out directions and the meeting location and time. The birds will be brought out at 8:00 am, so we need to be there a little before 8:00 am. We will be photographing for approximately 2 hours which may also depend on the birds. We don't want the birds to get stressed. Birds of prey for this safari include owls, hawks and falcons.

The Va Wildllife Conservation program is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation of injured, ill or orphaned birds of prey native to Virginia and to increase the public awareness of these raptors. This will be a very educational experience in addition to having the opportunity to be up close to photograph these birds.

50% of the procedes go to the Va Wildlife Conservation Program.
