Virginia Digital Photo Safaris

Do you love nature and want to learn to take great nature photographs? If you live or are visiting in the Washington, DC area, come join one of our photo safaris! We will help you view nature with a different perspective. We will help you develop an “artistic eye” by getting up close and personal when photographing flowers or the many abstracts nature provides us.

Just think of the excitement when you find a newborn fawn in an open meadow and have the opportunity to photograph this wonderful creature lying in the grass just waiting for it’s mother’s return or seeing a doe nursing her young. Just seeing this for the first time is such a wonderful experience. Also, think of the beauty when capturing the graceful flight of a bird up close. Some of our safaris will take you to places where we will see many different species of birds and other wildlife.

Jack Nevitt and Alan DeFelice will provide individual attention regardless of skill level. We will provide guidance on composition, lighting and exposure. Shooting with digital, you can experiment in many different ways by changing the shutter speed, white balance or F-stops to create an image that pleases you, and can do this without the expense of wasting film. Remember, the person behind the camera, not their equipment, creates a great image!
